My Bio

I work at a zoo and my husband is a meteorologist for the Nat'l Weather Service. I have been working out since Aug. 2002, when I started my 1st Body-For-Life Challenge.

My workouts have suffered lately due to being insanely busy then being hit by a wicked upper respiratory, ear and throat infection! I am looking forward to working my way back into working out on a regular basis again.

Jim and I are both animal lovers and have a few unique members of the household. In my avatar photo, I am holding By-Tor (The Wonder Lizard), who is an Argentinian black and white tegu. We also have two Venezuelan red foot tortoises and an African grey parrot (Mr. Grey).

    I have not blogged here in a while but it's the holidays. We are all pretty busy right now!

    I started a January rotation with a friend using Cathe's 4DS. Kim set this one up and it looks great.

    I woke up with DOMS, especially in the bra roll area. Yesterday's workout was shoulders, biceps and triceps so this surprised me. I am not complaining because that area really needs to be toned and tightened!

    This morning, I did Amy's Slo Mo NRG Split 2 (shoulders, biceps and triceps), which is around 45 minutes. My arms are still a little shaky but it felt good to work. I wanted to get cardio in the three days that I plan to workout this week but let myself get sidetracked slicing the fudge that I made last night. It's for a friend at work and was not firm enough to slice and put in a container last night. I will try to get the cardio in tomorrow. I plan on doing the leg split, which is...

    I have been offline for several days. By-Tor (the wonder lizard) and I made the four hour drive to visit Mom to celebrate and early Christmas. I committed to working the 24th so driving up Friday and coming back Sunday was the best time for me. Jim was supposed to go too but was still not feeling well enough to go. Rest is the best medicine for getting well but it was difficult to leave him here alone.
